Home For The Holidays

Happy Holidays!

I'm finally opening up and sharing all of our holiday decor for our home! If you've been on Instagram- you've probably already noticed some of our decor but I have a full tour in store for you!

As you already know- I'm huge on live greenery and finding anything that I can from our acreage- this year it happened to be blue cedar trees that I placed in pots inside and outdoors. You can purchase any similar tree style from Lowes, Home Depot or your local nursery. I prefer this type of tree because it can be replanted and not tossed out like the traditional Christmas trees.

Garland is an accessory that I can't do without. To me, it gives a cozy but elegant look to your home. I have it displayed in nearly every room and around our outside doors. I've found great deals on live garland at Sam's, Trader Joe's and Home Depot.

For our tree- I never really switch it up. I don't have a match-y tree with all of the coordinating ornaments and to me... that's okay. I prefer trees both way honestly but I love going through old ornaments and putting up our favorites. I especially love using my old Shiny Brites that I've collected over the years- to me they scream vintage Christmas! Next year- I'd love to add tinsel or possibly the 4-h ribbons my mom has been hoarding -although I've asked to her mail those to me several times... (come on Ma'....) I saw the ribbon idea from a fellow blogger- Abigail @adventuresinabbyland- I highly suggest giving her a follow!

Last but not least, I love to use Christmas tree branches...and friends... these are FREE. All you have to do is go ask the tree lots... it's trash to them...take them! I display as centerpieces, garland, fillers... whatever I can find use for!

( side note: I do have a collection of plastic deer as well as the small stuffed Japan deer... I love them all for the holidays- I'll throw in a sneak peak!)
